Divination in Healthcare and my medical journey

Do you or a loved one have a medical problem that has not been helped by the conventional medical system?

Many that do not get the help they need from a regular doctor tend to seek out alternative medicine practitioners. I know I did! This is a wonderful side of healthcare that provides relief for so many people. But what if there is a dark side to it that people don't realize?

I want to share my personal medical journey before going into the dark side of alternative healthcare. That way you know that I am writing from experience. I also know the feeling of being alone or that people think you are “crazy” and making up symptoms, when you are actually dealing with some sickness that is very uncomfortable. I want you to know that I am a real person that has gone through some tough things, but those tough things are not going to hold me down. I will make good out of it, and so can you if you are struggling! 

Almost all my life I have struggled with constipation. When I got to high school, I started to have horrible stomach pains. These stomach pains led me to begin to think about taking dairy out of my diet, because I noticed that my symptoms were much worse after eating it. This led to taking the lactase digestive enzyme when I would eat something with dairy in it, but eventually, this did not work. So I stopped eating everything with dairy, which only gave me some relief.

Like many stories I hear...My doctors weren’t sure what was happening. They suggested doing an endoscopy and colonoscopy, but said that it probably won’t find anything. I was put on a heartburn medication (which no one should be put on-It stops the production of acid in your stomach, which you need to break down food and absorb the nutrients from, so it leads to nutrient deficiencies. It is only a band-aid), and thyroid medication because my TSH was high (which is not a good indicator of thyroid health). I am now thankfully off of both of those medications! The doctors I saw made me feel like all of my issues were just “in my head”. 

Then, I started seeing a chiropractor that could order me a food sensitivity test, and most of the food that was tested, I had a high immune reaction to. Which I now know means you might have a “leaky gut”. But more on that topic in a different post. This test revealed that I also had a high reaction candida albicans, so I decided I would do a candida cleanse and restrict my diet from the foods that I reacted to. This led to me losing so much weight that my husband and others were concerned. All I knew was that I wanted to feel better. 

At this time my symptoms were constipation, feeling full after just a little bit of food, bloating, horrible gas, and heartburn. My chiropractor thought I might have low stomach acid, so he recommended I take betaine hydrochloride. This led to the worst heartburn I have ever had in my life (which now I know that this means I was producing enough stomach acid on my own). This chiropractor also used muscle testing to guide his recommendations and adjustments. Little did I know that this was something God does not approve of and is not from Him.  At the time, I was fascinated by it because I was in nursing school and I wanted to learn all the different ways to assess a patient. 

After a while, I began having problems with depression, so I sought a counselor that practiced EMDR therapy for trauma patients. I thought this was a wonderful tool to help people get through their trauma safely and quicker than traditional cognitive behavioral therapy or talk therapy. This therapist was also a practicing shaman, which I didn’t think much of because I wasn’t using her for those services, so I thought I was safe spiritually speaking. Well, after a few EMDR sessions with her, I started having panic attacks, especially while driving. We couldn’t figure out why it was happening at the time, but I now know I am very sensitive to the spiritual world, and the horrible anxiety is from Satan's attacks. One night I thought I was having a heart attack because I had pain in the left side of my chest and left arm. So my husband took me to the emergency room and they said that nothing was wrong. Another time, I was driving and it started being hard to breath and all of the muscles in my body started to contract, so I had to get off the road. The closest place was a pizza place and the employees called an ambulance. They said they believed it was a panic attack and that I was fine. My last major panic attack was following an acupuncture treatment and had a whole year where I couldn’t drive. 

The doctors I was seeing decided to put me on an antidepressant for anxiety. But the first one I was on was Zoloft and it did not work very long. I kept going up in the dose until I couldn't any longer, so they switched me to another antidepressant called Effexor. This has helped tremendously. It allowed me to work without much problem. But I now know that antidepressants are not good for someone to take long term and can actually cause brain damage to occur. Also, when I was prescribed Effexor, my doctor did not tell me that it is a VERY difficult medicine to get off of. I am working on getting off of this medication.

I continued to finish nursing school and graduated. I got my first nursing job right before the pandemic happened. This led me to get out of the hospital system after about 2 years. Then I got a job in an integrative medicine clinic. I tried multiple things for my health problems and was soaking in ANY information I could get. I ended up pursuing a PhD degree in Integrative Medicine through Quantum University online. I was so excited! I thought that this was what God was wanting me to do to be able to help others find health and healing naturally. Little did I know that this was satan’s subtle deception. So I quit my continuing education and ended up eating the costs. 

I also ended up working with a naturopathic doctor and personally tried ozone therapy, multiple supplements, naturopathic doctors, genetic testing, the AO scanner, meditation, mindfulness, exercise, frequency music, and much more for my own health journey. My panic attacks were triggered by acupuncture, the AO scanner, and frequency music. I just thought something was wrong with me and nothing would work. The one thing that did help was discovering that my gastrointestinal symptoms were caused by Small Intestinal Bowel Overgrowth (SIBO). Once I treated that and changed some things, my symptoms got better. 

Then one day, I was praying and asking God why I was going through all of this and have been having such problems with anxiety. He revealed to me that I was working too much and not spending enough time with Him. So I asked to go part time, which my boss was so understanding and supportive with.

Once I put my career on the backburner and God as my number one, he started to show me that these “natural” practices are New Age practices that are not from Him, but instead a subtle deception from the enemy. Also, my health got tremendously better. When I started researching about these practices and the bible, the first video I watched on Youtube was Isaiah Ministries which talked about these practices and how evil they are. But I did discover that Isaiah Ministries is taught by a 7th Day Adventist, which also has some extra biblical beliefs. So tread lightly when reading/watching their content and ask the Holy Spirit for discernment. As a side note: I now do research on every person/music artist I listen to. 

So this is why I have such a passion for educating people, especially Christians about the hidden dangers of most practices of the alternative health services.

I have an idea about what you are going through. I wasted so much money on treatments that never brought healing, even though I was told they would help, from practitioners that had the best intentions in mind. But our fight is not against flesh and blood…Thus began my study on satan’s work in the medicine field…

The Bible doesn't say anything specific like "do not practice acupuncture, homeopathy, muscle testing, frequency/energy medicine, . But it does talk about things like divination and consulting familiar spirits. In this blog I will be talking about divination. The most well known scripture that touches on this subject is Deuteronomy 18:9-14, which says:

9 When thou art come into the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee, thou shalt not learn to do after the abominations of those nations.

10 There shall not be found among you any one that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, or that useth divination, or an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch.

11 Or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard, or a necromancer.

12 For all that do these things are an abomination unto the Lord: and because of these abominations the Lord thy God doth drive them out from before thee.

13 Thou shalt be perfect with the Lord thy God.

14 For these nations, which thou shalt possess, hearkened unto observers of times, and unto diviners: but as for thee, the Lord thy God hath not suffered thee so to do.

(King James Version)

These scriptures stress the importance of not doing the things that other people of the world are practicing, including divination. People may talk about how a certain therapy helped them tremendously! But beware, this is one of satan’s get-rich-quick (so to speak) schemes that can leave you open to his influences, and does not provide complete healing, only God can provide that for you. 

So, what is divination? Let's look at a definition.

Divination: the practice of seeking knowledge of the future or the unknown by supernatural means.

Some other definitions I have seen: 

• the attempt to gain insight into a question or situation by way of an occultic ritual or practice. 

• the art or practice of using omens or supernatural powers to foresee or foretell future events or discover hidden knowledge.

• the practice of determining the hidden significance or cause of events, sometimes foretelling the future, by various natural, psychological, and other techniques.

This is information coming from demons and is only partly true. 

So, in the alternative health side of things, there are multiple practices that use a "divine" or an "intuitive" nature to guide treatment, guide a person on what they should do, or what will happen in the future. Or has an origin in these beliefs.

The following is a list of services/things that are used by alternative healthcare practitioners that I strongly suggest you do more research into and ask the Holy Spirit discernment about. 

• Muscle testing or "applied kinesiology": most commonly used by chiropractors and practitioners that utilize NAET which is an allergy elimination technique.

• Reiki

• Shamanic healing

• Transcendental Meditation: I believe that this is satan’s way of warping what prayer is. He can just make poor copies from the creator.

• Acupuncture

• Frequency healing/music

• Crystals/gems used for their “healing properties” (Worshiping the creation rather than the creator?-Romans 1:25)

• Sacred Geometry

• Sound bathing

• Yoga

• Homeopathy

• Most oriental practices, including martial arts - Eastern Mysticism

• Reflexology

• Bowen Therapy

• Electromagnetic therapy

• Biofeedback

• Hypnosis

• Iridology

• Psychedelic medicine/plants

• Tarot Cards/Divination Cards/Christian Tarot Cards

• Visiting psychics

• Astrology/horoscopes

• And many more practices that I am sure I have not named above.

I know I am probably stepping on some toes with the above mentioned treatments. But I am just sharing what I believe God has shown me to warn others about. Please comment or email me and I would love to discuss more with you. 

So what does the bible say about divination and these types of practices? Below is listed the scriptures I read in my own research on the topic and thought would be helpful to share. They are divided into Old and New Testament sources.

• Old Testament

• Deuteronomy 18:9-14- 

• Leviticus 19:31

• Leviticus 20:6+7-prostituting yourself with familiar spirits 

• Jeremiah 29:8-9- Do not listen to them

• Jeremiah 14:14

• 2 Kings 17:16-17- we can provoke God to anger by worshiping idols

• Ezekiel 13

• Ezekiel 21:21-23- The King of Babylon looked for answers in other things than God. God gave him over to his enemies.

• Isaiah 5:20- Woe to those who call evil good

• Isaiah 8:19-22- Cursing God because of hardship-further into darkness. 

• 1 Samuel 15:23

• 1 Samuel 28:6-7- Saul took matters into his own hands. 

• *One thing I have noticed in the scriptures is that multiple times, people don’t obey God’s commands and seek out idols for answers, healing, etc instead of God. 

• New Testament

• Revelation 21:6-8 through chapter 22: 15

• Galatians 5:19-26

• Acts 13:8-10

• Acts 16:16- the end 

• James 1:5

The last few scriptures in the new testament talk about those who are God’s children who are supposed to oppose and expose these false teachings that are leading others into dark places. Acts 16 also says that we have authority over these spirits. So we have no cause to be afraid, we have authority in Christ to withstand the enemy and bring light and truth to the world, even if most of the world will not receive it. 

There are also many scriptures that talk about healing, and all of them are about receiving healing from God, and not of this world. 

I pray that if you do not believe in God, that God will open your eyes to Him and His love and mercy for you. I pray that you will have freedom from the strongholds the enemy has placed on your life. I also pray for those that do claim to be bible believers that have given their lives over to God- LORD, protect your children from the lies of the enemy and help us to trust in you fully for our health and for guidance. You say that those who lack knowledge do not ask for knowledge from You, so I ask that you would reveal the truth, in Jesus’s name, Amen.
